What makes ADHD a 'Disorder?' Actually, you get to say. Look at the list of 18 core symptoms. Everyone struggles with these challenges to some degree. But when they become a constant, ongoing struggle that you can't seem to push past, and if they've been messing with you as long as you can remember, then it's worth looking deeper. Support us on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/RickGreenPatreon Website https://rickhasadhd.com/ Because if what you're doing isn't working, if 'trying 'harder' doesn't make a difference, if the same mistakes keep happening despite your best efforts, then an ADHD diagnosis might finally give you insight as to why you're struggling, and, better still, what you can do about. A Note From Rick Green Hello My Neuro-Divergent Friend, I wanted to share something that I suspect you've experienced as well. It started in the weeks and months after I got my ADHD diagnosis. And it continues to this day. Dazed and confused by the idea I had a 'disorder' I read everything I could lay my hands on about ADHD in Adults. (And there wasn't that much back then.) As I learned more and once I connected with other ADDers, I had the same experience that millions of others have had, namely, discovering that many of my unique personal quirks were quite common among individuals with ADHD. (At first it was a bit unnerving. 'You mean I'm not special?' But then it felt reassuring to know it wasn't just me.) 'That's an ADHD thing? I thought it was just me!' The penny dropped. Again and again. (If I had a nickel for every penny that dropped...) Today, (over two decades later) I am still discovering that things I always assumed were just me, (If I even noticed them at all) are in fact common among folks who have ADHD. I had another penny drop thanks to one of this week's memes. (I'll leave it to you to figure out which it is.) So, as always, a heartfelt Thank You to our Patrons for providing us with the means to continue entertaining, educating, and providing hope.
