The sampler built into GarageBand for iOS is truly inspired and a very welcome addition to what is a free app on Apple iOS devices. Not only can you use the internal mic to get great sounds, whose individuality creates many possibilities, but the sampler will also open and play files recorded elsewhere, and GarageBand mixes and exported files will open up, revealing even more... Here, armed with just a snare drum, I get snare and kick sounds just by using the sampler and plugins, but also use the sampler to create cross-rhythms. Add to this the excellent “drummer” rhythms (using just its hi-hat sounds), much can be done... Now imagine what can be done with anything else on GarageBand! Enjoy and Share!
